Good if your job can’t jump
Our dogs just hop over it. We use it as a barrier but if they want in the living room it’s easy for them to go over. I think a small dog would be able to get over

Pleasing to the eye, but has flaws
My pet can easily lick the hinges and it will fall over. Needs base legs on each side to make more stable.

I wanted something to puppy proof my living room but wanted it to still look nice. These wooden gates are great, and my puppy luckily seems to acknowledge them as a border/no-go zone. The only downsides (hence not 5 stars): 1. They are shorter than I expected - maybe 2 ft tall? 2. I wish the hinges allowed the sections to bend in both directions so I could use 1 gate to make a half circle type shape.

They’re super substantial. Heavy enough that the small terrier can’t or won’t tip it over. They have a very nice painted finish and the Chippendale fretwork design

This would never keep a dog contained. Not even a small dog.
