I’m on the eufy camera platform so have lots of Eufy cameras. This is a regular indoor PTZ camera that is marketed on Chewy as a pet cam. It’s perfect for pets as you can follow them around and zoom in. You can talk to them but the sound is delayed and not great. The software platform is excellent, lots of position presets, motion activation, auto tracking and so on. Vid quality is great night and day.

I really like this camera. I was looking for a new pet camera as the one I currently have is about 8 years old and the video quality is pretty bad. The biggest selling point for me on this camera is the AI tracking, I love that it will tell me if it is a pet or a human and that it will track them across the house! The video quality is actually very good as well. I like that I can add an SD card and do not have to pay for cloud storage and that I can download videos right to my phone. I do wish the video playback was a little more user friendly, if you have a short clip it is very difficult to slide the bar over it to get it to play. I did figure out though that you can select Events at the bottom of the app and it will show you all the video clips and has great filter options, so that helps. I also really wish they had schedules, so I could use the sound detection only between say midnight and 8am, if I turn it on now it would record all evening when we sit down and turn the tv on.

First, I love Eufy and own several outside cameras as well as my doorbell. I love the free storage to the app that's retained for 30 days... free. No SD cards, just the storage on the app. This device does not have that. It requires an SD card and does not save video to the app... unless you pay. Huge disappointment! Second, if you're okay with the storage, something to be aware of, once I turned on the camera, one of my dogs ran and hid and would not come out unless I unplugged the camera. I think it may emit a high frequency sound that hurts her ears. I didn't get to mess with the features much because I was disappointed with the storage situation and my dogs response to the camera, so I called chewy to start the return process.

It’s zoom feature it also nice. While I’m sitting at work I could zoom in and check on the puppy in her crate. The motion tracking feature also works very well. Finally, my husband was nervous about having a camera in the house, so he was impressed with the privacy mode. It doesn’t just turn off, it spins so it’s against the wall. It is also very easy to turn off and on.

I cannot say the email experience with their support was in any way quick or very helpful. Maybe I should have called. In any event, I eventually just tried downloading it again, and it worked! As with any technology, there was a learning curve, but it wasn't too bad and there is information on line that is very helpful. Now that things are up and running, I really like it! It not only allows me to keep an eye on our dogs when we're not here, but to talk to them! If doggy gets up to mischief, you can say "bad dog" from afar...LOL. You can position the small camera anywhere you want to keep an eye on things when away. A very good security device whenever or wherever you need it. You can set it to issue a sound alarm too. This is not something I would have necessarily sought out, but have realized just how useful and versatile it is.

It really lets me see where the animals are at with my open floor plan in my home. I love that when you click on the record button, it will record and the video is saved right to your phone. I need to look into getting an SD card because I don’t want to b pay for storage on the app. I was hoping it allowed a some videos to be saved on the camera without an SD card or paying.
