This camera includes infrared LEDs and an f/1.6 aperture allow more to be seen for excellent night vision.

Can you place this somewhere with no Wifi, then just connect it to your device to see what was recorded?

The camera requires a WiFi connection to operate and does not support direct connection to a device for viewing recorded footage. The camera connects to a 2.4GHz WiFi network and stores recordings on its internal storage, which can be accessed via the Eufy Security app. Without a WiFi connection, the camera cannot be set up or used to view recordings.

Camera seems ok, but the app is horrible

The camera is larger than I thought, which makes it more noticeable when placed outside. I currently have it inside so I haven't tested the solar, but it is easy

The camera is larger than I thought, which makes it more noticeable when placed outside. I currently have it inside so I haven't tested the solar, but it is easy to charge and the video quality is fine. I hate the app, however. Viewing clips takes forever because it constantly has to decrypt from local storage (often failing, meaning I have to close and reopen the app to try again). In addition, each clip has to be opened and viewed individually (I have a different camera that automatically goes from one clip to another which makes viewing much faster). If it was my only camera I would return it, but since it is a secondary camera I haven't decided.

I really like this product! The solar power works wonderfully and I’ve had no issues with the battery remaining charged. The sound is surprisingly clear and the picture quality is nice and much better than other cameras I’ve had in the past. I will say it was a bit difficult to see our small dog on it so if you are purchasing it for that then you may want to put it a little lower down (we have ours along the edge of the roof). I think it would be amazing to keep an eye on your bigger dogs particularly, or even for none pet uses as it is a high quality camera. Installation was very easy as it requires no cords and the accompanying app is easy to work and records very clear clips when there’s movement. I would definitely recommend this camera!

Eufy Security SoloCam S220 is an excellent choice if you want an easy, plug and play camera, featuring clear 2K video with NO monthly fees, at a super price point, this is it! Plus you can add additional cameras! Another huge plus is that Anker Innovations LTD offers the product so we had confidence it would be quality and easy to use. It did NOT disappoint! The S220 is an outdoor camera and only needs 3 hours of direct sunlight to charge up. We were really impressed with the crisp, clear video day or night. It kept an excellent charge, even on a cloudy day. The S220 worked as expected every time, even on cloudy, rainy days. The app was super easy to install on a cell phone. It’s nice to get an immediate audible warning alarm on the phone as well as on the unit itself when an area has been breached. There also is a 2 way audio communication. This Eufy Security unit provides a peace of mind during the day and especially at night. Living rurally, this give us extra eyes and confidence our yard is safe from natural predators. We clamped our camera the inside to test it on a rainy day and it still fully charged by the window. We are extremely pleased with this unit and are considering adding to it.

Fantastic Camera – Highly Recommend! I have two other cameras for monitoring my chickens and indoor pets, but the picture quality on this camera is outstanding—far clearer than the others. I’ll definitely be replacing my old cameras with this one! I love the flexibility of charging it via USB or using the solar panel. I’ve tried both options and have been extremely pleased with the performance. Installation was a breeze thanks to the clear, step-by-step instructions. It takes a long time download the videos. But they are crystal clear. I like that i can view the outside of my house and the whole driveway. I know when a delivery truck arrives. A big plus, it is solar powered. No electricity is used to run it. Big plus, no monitoring fees. I'm happy with it.
