Euro-Dog Modern Leather Quick Release Dog Collar, Coral Reef, Medium: 12 to 18-in neck

This is a very classy collar made with a strong yet soft leather. Since our dogs are Very Well Trained, I’m not even worried about some of the reviews where pulling seems to be an issue. I’d recommend the Martingale collars paired with some time with an experienced trainer for the basics to anyone whose dog isn’t there yet with leash walking. (Don’t worry, They can and will learn, just takes a little time and consistency). I use one collar for tags and a separate collar for walking to prevent wear on the tag collar. The color is beautiful, our dogs are island fishing dogs so they’re in the water frequently, mostly saltwater. That said, the color Will Bleed at first but not a lot and not for long and the collar still holds its color. (The color comes off your dog with soap) so if you Do leave it on during a bath and it bleeds color don’t panic. The Size is closer to the Bigger number, if your dog has a 12” neck - go with the X small! The small (10”-15”) doesn’t even get small enough. My good boy has a 14” neck and the small fits him but he likes his collar a little loose (able to slip on over his head but not off easy) and it goes small enough to not come off over his ears. Our good girl has a 12” neck and the Xsmall had to be tightened almost all the way so it doesn’t fall off (XS says 9-12”), while the Small (10”-15”) was really really loose and came right off tightened all the way The martingale of this collar, go with the smaller size for sure too. You want those to fit a little loose but not hang.
