I requested this as a Christmas present. I thought it was ceramic or some other material. It's plastic. Heavy plastic, but plastic. It has to be weighted down to keep from blowing over.
Bought this last summer and this is the result after our PA winter. Paint peeling & discoloring on the inside & the center of the bath is cracking in a circle formation. Had to use flex seal on it so it don’t leak. I was very happy with it when I first got it but not too happy now. It needs to be improved to withstand ALL weather conditions for more than just 9 months.
This birdbath is perfect, just what we were looking for too. It isn't breakable either and can be weighed down to make it even sturdier. The birds and squirrels love it as well as the deer.
Easy to put together. Top unscrews and is lightweight so it’s really easy to keep clean. I filled the pedestal with stones for added stability. I also added a solar bubbler and stones to keep it centered. Birds like it! One star off since it is plastic after all.
Color of birdbath was a harsh, ugly green -- not at all like the attractive picture I saw online! Will be returning it to Chewey.
Not at all as pictured, came as a hideous plastic, did not look like the stone it was Advertised as. Wouldn’t put this in my yard ever.
Since we bought this bird bath we've had a lot of snow and ice. That's why I picked this one. My other one cracked from freezing. I'm hoping when we thaw out it's crack free! Ohio winter.
The pedestal was/is missing??? Will it be shipped separately???
There is no way that this birdbath has 70% clay in it. It is clearly pure plastic
I have been looking for a bird bath that can withstand our weather here in Colorado, through the winter. I took a chance on this one after reading it’s many reviews. I’ve had it for 2 1/2 months and we had a few days below 0 and it has held up beautifully (even in our 2+ feet of snow)! I bought the green one & I love the color! The birds are very happy too!
