Handy, small, pretty straight forward Hygrometer

I like how small the little sensor is for this hygrometer. I’ve had others before that have been bulky that go directly in my box turtles tank that I swear she made a sport of trying to bulldoze down. This little sensor is about the size of a dime and has a pretty long cord which makes it easy to place it where you need it. The settings are pretty straightforward. It has a “current” humidity level, a “max” or high of the day reading, and a “min” or low of the day. At first I thought the min and max maybe had to do with an alarm system but it’s just a simple daily reading. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 were a few minor things. The Velcro to attach to the outside of the tank/terrarium doesn’t work super great and the hygrometer was falling off of the side. I just stopped using the Velcro and left it on top of my terrarium. Not a huge deal. The numbers are a tiny bit hard to read. You have to look at just the right angle. I also thought the instructions were pretty vague but it’s a simple product so that wasn’t a huge deal. Overall, I’d recommend this product. Humidity is super important for my box turtle and now I don’t have to guess on the readings.

The cord fit through the door of my cage and can sit on top to be easily read. It is compact and does not interfere with the set up of the cage. It accurately read the humidity correct and has a maximum and minimum programmable setting.

I am so glad to have gotten this. I just moved to a higher elevation and my old hygrometers just went wild. It went from being in the ideal range to suddenly being dangerously low, Even though I was trying every trick in the book to boost it. As soon as I put this in my snakes enclosure, it gave me a completely different and much more realistic reading, Especially considering all the steps, I was taking to get the humidity up. I feel way better now!

Pretty good product. Only thing that is more of a preference is that it has no back light so from a distance it always looks like it's 88 degrees when it isn't

Works well for tortoise
This hygrometer works very well. I am using it in my red foot tortoise enclosure because she needs high humidity and now that the heat is on at home her humidity
