This Exo Terra digital thermometer is sleek and simple to use. It came with a battery and a clearly marked switch on the back to change between Fahrenheit and Celsius
This Exo Terra digital thermometer is sleek and simple to use. It came with a battery and a clearly marked switch on the back to change between Fahrenheit and Celsius. I like the removable slide-mounting clip so it can be attached to the top of an Exo Terra enclosure lid. I don’t have an Exo Terra enclosure for my reptile, but I think it’s a very efficient way to mount the instrument with maximum visibility. Since I don’t have a different brand of enclosure it’s nice that they also include a hook and loop fastener. And most importantly it seems to be measuring the temperature accurately. I compared it to two other digital thermometer that I have had for a while now and this one consistently reads in the middle of the two other brands (see photos).

I use this for my jumping spiders. The velcro that comes with it is useless, so I used my own stronger velcro, but the suction cup works great. The thermometer hasn't fallen off yet (7 days in). I am extremely disappointed that it's a button battery and not a triple A. The temperature is accurate, so I am giving it four stars because of the velcro and battery.
