Can live plants be grown in fish tank with this gravel?

While the aquarium pebbles can be an ample support to hold the delicate roots, these plants need a whole lot of nutrients to thrive. To sustain the live plants you are going to need some nutritional dust substrate. Hence, you should have 2 layers of substrates in your aquarium, with proportionate portions of a nutrient enriched dust at the bottom layer, and then overlay the larger and heavier fish gravel to protect the dust from a total washout while the vacuuming.

Each gravel measures approximately 3/8 inches in diameter.

Can you use for Turtles

This gravel is not ideal for turtles as they can eat smaller rocks which can block their digestive tract. We would recommend gravel that are over 1 to 3 inches.

Waxy coating

The stones had a waxy coating to them which was almost impossible to completely clean off. Do not recommend. I washed the stones multiple times and was still cleaning

The wax clang to my tank walls. Had to completely empty tank and restart. I ended up throwing rocks out. Very disappointed as they were beautiful

not all gravel is created equal

This product is not the same as in the picture! The picture is of a gravel often seen in the aquarium industry- a polished multi-colored gravel pebble. what Chewy

This product is not the same as in the picture! The picture is of a gravel often seen in the aquarium industry- a polished multi-colored gravel pebble. what Chewy delivered was a garden or lawn stone. It is not this color or grain size-- a very cheap substitute of the product they use to bait and switch with. Let the buyer beware.
