I was searching for something that would help my almost 14 year old pittie girl with the summer heat. This cooling collar sounded like a great idea compared to a cooling bandana, but I was hesitant to order, because there were no reviews and I also wasn’t sure, if the collar would be large enough. Roxy’s neck measures approximately 20 inches and the size chart states this is for neck circumferences of 15.7 - 19.7. But since I liked the concept I decided to just give it a try and hope for the best. The collar comes with 5 small ice packs that..once frozen..fit nicely inside the collar and are held in place by small sewn in 1/2 inches “dividers”. The collar size itself is quite a big larger that I had feared, plenty big .. I’d say it maybe would fit a dog with a neck measurement of approx up to 23 - 25 inches.. and is easily adjusted with little bungee cords to ensure a nice, close fit to the neck. And best of all, Roxy seems to enjoy wearing it. After having used it multiple time already, I’ve noticed some strings coming loose on the inside, but so far it has not affected anything. I would have given it 5 stars, if other colors were available. Army green is not the most attractive color for this girly girl ;)
