Can I use this product without my dog being on in a harness, and just use his regular collar?

To avoid choking or injury always use a car restraint with a harness never a collar.
Can you use this in the front seat? My back seat is filled with car seats.

This product is designed to prevent driver distraction and restrain the dog to one position in the vehicle. In the event of a car accident it may not prevent injury to the passengers or your dog. While it may be used in the front seat, it is recommended for use in the back seat due to most vehicles having a passenger side airbag.

This will work with any harness that has a D-ring it can attach to.
Does the swivel keep the leash from twisting?

The clip, which connects the restraint to your pets harness, is designed with a swivel feature so that the tether won't be easily twisted.

Absolutely Perfect!

Works amazingly well! Never heard of these until on Facebook and saw Chewy's advertisement on these seat belt harnesses. Our dogs/pups are safe (as we are too), can lay down, cannot jump in front seat nor out the windows. Belt is adjustable for size of dog. Love them. Can finally focus 100% on driving - which is GREAT as that's what we're all supposed to be doing!

Safe Ride for My Two

I have two of these restraints, one for each of my dogs. Secure fastening to the rear seat belt lock and secure fastening to their harnesses. Never have to worry about them when traveling.

Easy to use and secure

Clicks right into your seatbelt apparatus. The “dog end” has the familiar leash-type clip and the “vehicle-end” clicks into a standard seatbelt, you just slide it into the seatbelt buckle. Obviously a harness would be safer than a collar, so that’s what I used and no problems, my dog could view the window safely, could reposition herself without entering danger zones or falling off the seat. I’m really happy with the safety and it’s very sturdy, easy to move from one vehicle to another.

Need additional device

We bought this restrained for our 6 mo mini schnauzer, what we noticed that the restraint was let go, then we realised that our super intelligent puppy figured out how to unbuckle, then another device for autistic escape artists was added to it, no problems so far

Good for use with a pet harness.

Good quality. I would recommend you only use this device with a dog harness never a collar.

Safety First

Very simple to install. Allows my 8-month-old Lab to see out the car windows while keeping her safe. She has some freedom of movement but is secure. Arrived less than 48 hours after I placed the order.

Seat Belt Restraint

I love that my Coton can sit or lay in the back seat with this seat belt restraint. The length is adjustable for her to look out the window, see me, and the fastener swivels. It snaps into the seatbelt and locks so simple. I just bought another for my husbands car.

The most recent one I bought does not clip into my car

I bought one of this brand 2 years ago that works fine. I bought a second one recently and it doesn't clip in into either of my vehicles (which are not Volvos and not more than 5 years old).

Tragic result

I used this for my 30 pound dog in the back seat. Tuesday night the belt let go and he jumped out the window. Vanished into the state park and there have been no sightings since. I would never rely on a single clip restraint again. There have to be models out there with a secondary clip and if there is-spend the e tea money and prevent the chance of my heartbreak.
