Have used this heater for years; love it

Just ordered two more of these. I tried the little red ones for a couple years, but they were much more difficult to place securely in the 100-gallon troughs, not very stable, and then one of the red ones zapped my horses! I was shocked! (And I see on the reviews for the red heaters, others have said the same thing.) I have never had any problems with these larger heaters; they last about three years before they fail, and they have never zapped my horses! Also better made, with copper vs. just aluminum. Who cares if the metal ring makes a rust mark, really?

Works great!

This heater works great for my horse's water tubs but it has to be a 1500. Anything smaller won't work. Water will still freeze.

farm innovators de-icer

I hope there are some people out there that have had good results with this de-icer. At first glance, it looked well made. Nice quality. It never even got warm. I even tried different tanks set close to different outlets. The only thing to do is throw it away. As always, customer service with Chewy is awesome and they had no problem issuing a refund. Will NOT try this item again. Dependability is a must with this type of product....

Works Wonderfully

I bought this for my pigs stock tank at the beginning of winter, it works wonderfully, stays at the bottom of the tank where my girls don’t bother it and keeps their water ice free.

Don’t bother

Had a short fresh out of the box and only made a very small hole in the ice.
