Description

Every Farmina food is made with the best ingredients with the correct amounts of protein, fats, limited carbohydrates and advanced long life vitamins and minerals. The Natural & Delicious Grain-Free formulas are comprised of 70% animal ingredients (pre-cooking weight) and 30% vegetables, fruits, vitamins and minerals. These diets are also quite different from competing foods because they use better quality protein sources that are devoid of bone, so ash is as low as 7.80% and calcium and phosphorous levels are controlled.

Key Benefits
  • The #1 ingredient in this high protein, limited carbohydrate, and low fiber all life stage cat food is lamb. It's been formulated without grains or gluten so it's great for pet parents concerned with allergies or sensitivities.
  • 97% of protein is from quality animal sources which makes for a low ash content. Ingredients are also fresh and never frozen for optimum nutrition.
  • It's a low glycemic formula so it's a great option for pets that need a food that won't spike blood sugar.
  • This GMO-free formula doesn't contain peas, lentils, pea protein, chickpeas, or added plants oils.
  • Natural omega fatty acids promote healthy skin and coat while added pomegranate and berries are rich in antioxidants to help fight free radicals.

Actual weight listed on the bag is in kilograms.

    Finicky kitty loves it

By Morgan on Jun 8, 2021

My nine years old Persian absolutely loves this food. He never ate so much dry food before as he is spoiled with people food. He says he loves the yummy lamb flavor and the mini disc shaped kibbles. He much prefers to cylindrical shaped ones.

    My Cat Loves It

By Jasmine on Apr 22, 2021

My cat is very picky about her food. She won't eat wet food or table food (other than potato chips). She only wants dry cat food and usually won't eat until she is starved. We tried many different brands of food and found that she loves all of the Farmina brands. She is now fat. If I feed her any other brand, she won't eat for a day or two until she is starved. But, with the Farmina, she immediately starts eating.

My cats all love this food

By RickiD on Apr 3, 2021

I have five cats, so it's hard to please all of them. But they ALL love this brand. I do rotate the flavors: lamb, chicken, and fish (fish is their very favorite). I recommend this dry food. While my cats get dry only once a day (they get canned and/or raw at night), I don't feel guilty because this seems to be pretty healthy.

    Quality product

By ChristiW on Apr 5, 2021

Cats loved the Ultimate Protein Duck until I gave them this Farmina Lamb. Now they won't eat the duck. Carbs are 17.3%, still too high. I'm always looked for lower carbs and no plant protein. Plant protein makes them FAT.

    Great quality food!

    By Kat4 on Jan 9, 2021

I have a 17 year-old cat who's been having digestive issues. I feed him a combination of freeze-dried and canned food twice a day, and also leave a top-quality dry food for him. The dry food isn't being digested. A friend suggested trying Farmina brand, specifically the 'digestion' formula, with quinoa, fennel and lamb. I was unable to find that specific variety on Chewy, so chose this instead. He loves the food and has transitioned with no issues. I still hope to find the 'digestion' formula, but I'd certainly recommend this brand.

Great for Cats With Food Allergies

By ILikeCats on Oct 15, 2020

My cat has a chicken and recently discovered pea allergy. She can do both in small doses but not if they're one of the main ingredients. When her previous dry food from a different manufacturer was discontinued (duck and potato), I searched high and low for a new food and went through several. Finally found this one and was elated. She took to it right away, almost preferring it over her wet food (rabbit) which was surprising. Only owners of cats with food allergies can understand the joy of seeing solid poop in the litter box.

    My cat loves it!

By kittyspoiler on Mar 17, 2020

I am changing her diet from dried food to wet food these days. But, I do need to feed her dried food when I go to work and stuff, so I was looking for a quality dried food that wouldn't be as bad. It seemed good to me, and more importantly, my kitty finds it tasty as well!! She became more picky about dried food since I fed her wet food, but she nevertheless loves this!
