Description

Every Farmina food is made with the best ingredients with the correct amounts of protein, fats, limited carbohydrates and advanced long life vitamins and minerals. The Natural & Delicious Grain-Free formulas are comprised of 70% animal ingredients (pre-cooking weight) and 30% vegetables, fruits, vitamins and minerals. These diets are also quite different from competing foods because they use better quality protein sources that are devoid of bone, so ash is as low as 7.80% and calcium and phosphorous levels are controlled.

Key Benefits
  • The #1 ingredient in this high protein, limited carbohydrate, and low fiber all life stage cat food is wild boar. It's been formulated without grains or gluten so it's great for pet parents concerned with allergies or sensitivities.
  • 97% of protein is from quality animal sources which makes for a low ash content. Ingredients are also fresh and never frozen for optimum nutrition.
  • It's a low glycemic formula so it's a great option for pets that need a food that won't spike blood sugar.
  • This GMO-free formula doesn't contain peas, lentils, pea protein, chickpeas, or added plants oils.
  • Natural omega fatty acids promote healthy skin and coat while added pomegranate and berries are rich in antioxidants to help fight free radicals.

Farmina Wild Boar Dry Cat Food

    By on

I discovered Farmina while shopping at Chewy. A brand, company I was not familiar with. Because it is obtainable at Chewy, that is good enough reason for me to try. I have purchased different varieties, all accepted and enjoyed by my 2 rescue cats. I purchased the Boar hoping it would be welcomed as the other flavors. It took a few days for them to finally satisfy me and eat like they're doing me a favor (common with most cats.) They are still nibbling at it a little. I noticed they prefer the other flavors, therefore, I won't reorder this one. Every cat is different, with their likes, dislikes, just like humans. I will recommend the Boar and all Farmina cat food, it's excellent quality. Elaine I discovered Farmina while shopping at Chewy. A brand, company I was not familiar with. My Cat Loves All Farmina Flavors

    By on Top 500 Contributor

I purchased this in order to add extra glucosamine and chondroitin to my cat's diet due to her skin becoming a little dryer than usual from Weight Maintenance food. I mix it with a 1-to-4 ratio so as not to add too much fat to her diet from the Farmina that she loves so much. It seems to be working.

    Great dry food for cats

    By on

At first my cats ate it, then stayed away. Tried it again a few days later, and so far so good. Seems very well balanced, but unfortunately is expensive. Hope for sales or coupons!

The fat cat, the cat who struggles to gain weight, and the one that refuses to eat dry food, all enjoy this. Win!

    A surprise addition

    By on Top 25 Contributor

I was a little hesitant to purchase this as I wasn't sure if the cat's would like the boar but they did. They love it as much as the chicken so a happy addition to the food. Now if only Farmina would make soft food as well.

Best dry pet food on the market!

    By on

I am so grateful to Farmina for their superior grain-free dry cat food formulas. The ingredients, with the exception of potato and including an array of whole food nutritional supplements, are excellent and unsurpassed. I tried both the chicken and wild boar formulas and both of my cats love both, with the wild boar being the favorite by a hair. In addition to appreciating the high 44 % crude protein derived from 97% animal protein, (no meal) and high % fat, I particularly appreciate the inclusion of psyllium seed husk as an excellent source of fiber and digestion aid. Furthermore, Farmina's excellence is derived from the harmful ingredients that are excluded, namely grain, meat meals, BHA/BHT, etc. I can only assume that it's the choline chloride responsible for my two kitties drinking plenty of water, most important when feeding dry food. I just wish that Chewy offered the economical 11-lb. bag that Farmina makes available. Farmina doesn't list 22-lb. packaging so I can only assume that Chewy's "22-lb." option is two 11-lb. bags. Why, then, not offer the single 1I-lb. bag, I wonder. The cost is high, when compared to inferior "premium" brands, but, as they say, "You get what you pay for". I figure the extra cost is worth the health of my two beloved furry companions and you make up the cost, and then some, with fewer vet bills over the years. I highly recommend the Farmina grain-free pet formulas as a staple for those that supplement with dry food. … more

    Fussy Cat loved it.

    By on

After another company changed their formula, it was difficult finding a dry food this one particular cat would eat, and this was the one. She ravished it. Made my day. Looks to be quality ingredients too.

    Overpriced but Overjoyed!

    By on

This is too pricy, but, oh my! My cat LOVES it!!! Very happy with this stuff. My cat will even eat stale dry food she hates if I mix a little in this stuff! I don't know what that means, probably something hideous in it! hehehe. So, 5 stars all the way! Highly recommend!
