NOT corporate owned, Family owned good ingredients

Farmina Pet Foods, the company behind Farmina dog food, is a family-owned and operated business headquartered in Italy. It was founded in 1965 by Francesco Russo

Farmina Pet Foods, the company behind Farmina dog food, is a family-owned and operated business headquartered in Italy. It was founded in 1965 by Francesco Russo as Russo Mangimi, initially focusing on animal nutrition. In 1999, his son, Dr. Angelo Russo, shifted the focus to premium pet food, collaborating with an English research firm and establishing Farmina Vet Research. Today, Angelo Russo serves as the CEO and owner of Farmina Pet Foods Holding, the parent company. The Russo family maintains full ownership, with no indications of external investors or corporate buyouts. Farmina operates manufacturing facilities in Italy, Brazil, Serbia, and a new U.S. plant in Reidsville, North Carolina (opened in June 2025), producing natural, non-GMO dry and wet foods for dogs and cats under lines like Natural & Delicious and Vet Life. The company’s emphasis on science-backed nutrition and family values stems directly from the Russo family’s vision.

bites too large

food pieces too large for my 70 lbs lab mix. He's older and missing a few teeth and this just didn't work for him. Also upset his stomach.

Great Ingredient List

My giant breed dog loves it. I like the ingredient list. He seems to be digesting it better than some of the others we have tried. I thought it might slow him

My giant breed dog loves it. I like the ingredient list. He seems to be digesting it better than some of the others we have tried. I thought it might slow him down since the pieces are quite large -- significantly larger than most large breed kibble, but nope, he chews just about every other one and inhales the rest.

Kibble size

I love the size of this kibble - it forces my large breed to actually chew and it’s great for treats!
