If you feed your dog this because they have a chicken allergy, FARMINA HAS ADDED CHICKEN. I’m very disappointed after receiving our most recent bag of Ancestral Grains Lamb and Blueberry adult dog food. I noticed the nutrition label looked different (like a sticker had been placed over the old one) and dehydrated chicken is now listed as the 3rd ingredient, which was not there before. There was no warning from Farmina regarding this and our dog is allergic to chicken, which is why we were feeding him this food as it’s EXTREMELY hard to find a dog food that doesn’t include chicken. I assume this was a cost-related decision on Farmina’s part, yet there was no cost reduction in price on our end. We’ve been using this food for years and it’s the only one our dog has done well on, and now we will likely need to find another. Very disappointed in the Farmina brand.

Our Boxer has devoured this food for years, but she turned her nose up at the most most recent autoship bag that we received this month. I worried because I thought she was ill as she’s normally so food motivated. I instead gave her our puppy’s other brand name food, and she devoured that. I did some internet research and it appears that Farmina is now being manufactured in Serbia and the U.S., and the formula has change, or with tariffs, the food may have been sitting to long on warehouse shelves. Whatever the case, I’m super bummed because our dog LOVED this food for at least the last 2+ years.

We were looking for a high quality food to transition our boy over to from puppy food. We were so confused and after speaking to a wonderful person in Chewy's customer service who took the time to look at many ingredients this one seemed like the best option. My boy has tolerated this food so well and has not had any loose stools from transitioning. In fact he loves to run out in the garage and stick his head in the bag! So glad I found a high quality product that he loves. Thanks Chewy!

Insufficient packing

There is no issue with the product. However, the packaging was terrible. It was a 40 lb bag of dry kibble dog food moving freely around the box without any cushioning. This can break kibble to crumbs. Previously, there was brown paper to cushion the bag from being tossed around.

Been feeding this brand and formula for years. The last couple of bags Fletcher has struggled to want to eat it. This past bag he won't even touch it, even with bone broth on it. Farmina changed the manufacturing plant and seems the formula has also changed. Won't ever buy again.

My dog really likes the flavor of this food and I like the nutrition. I like that it is grain inclusive and even has added omega 3s and glucosamine. Hope is a picky standard poodle so any food she likes is a keeper. We have always had good results with farmina. My only complaint is that the kibble pieces for the med/maxi are HUGE. I think the next time, I will order the mini formula just for the size of the kibble. My other dog, a senior mini poodle/shih tzu mix, grabbed a bite of this food from my standard poodle the other day and didn’t chew it. I didn’t have his crate locked while they were eating and my standard poodle is way too chill about sharing. I worried about him possibly choking while trying to inhale this food. Eating the whole, unchewed kibble actually upset his stomach and the few pieces he ate came back out whole a few hours later :/ I’ve now been partially soaking the kibble to make the larger pieces easier to chew for my standard and to avoid any future accidents if my other dog manages to steal anything. Overall, we are happy with this food and will be purchasing again.

Farmina is by far my absolute favorite dog and cat dry food that is offered. It was superior to other top brands in its category, like Open Farm, Nature's Logic, Orijen, Acana, etc. My dogs and cats will go crazy over this food, even just the bag because the oils always line the inside of the bag, they will lick it clean. If you have a picky eater, try farmina I swear almost any dog or cat will eat it, hand down. Yes, it is expensive and that is a major downfall, it's dissappointing because it used to be more affordable just a couple of years ago but I over look the price because of the quality, the results, the palatability, the csutomer service, the accesibility, the VACUUM sealed bags, and ingrediants. I switch between flavors, although not recommended by Farmina, I have never had an issue. They love the tropical flavors, chicken and pomegranate, lamb and blueberry, and codfish. I feed grain inclusive only.

I needed to find a food that was low in carbs to do everything I can to help my dog who is battling cancer with chemo. Chewy helped me find a low carb high protein food and also helped me switch my auto ship to remove the food I was feeding and change it to the newer food. I appreciate the compassion that comes from anyone I have ever spoken with and even more so during this very difficult time knowing that my dog will not survive this. This food will help her chemo help her give us a little more time and Chewy helped us find it

I have a very picky Husky who would rather starve than to eat something that he doesn’t like. When they stopped making his prior food of choice. I had to search for a replacement and he chose farmina’s blueberry mix. Almost 3 years later, he continues to enjoy this brand.
