Instructions
*Remove protective cap and apply Chew Stop Aerosol generously to all surfaces within reach of your horse.
*Spray from a distance of 4 to 6 inches.
*Remove animals from stalls during application.
*Chew Stop Aerosol may be applied to the bark of mature trees. It will not stain or discolor white wood fences. Repeat application to problem areas as necessary until your horse forgets his habit.

Didn't work for me
One of my horses started chewing the barn. She destroyed about $2k worth of lumber and materials. Blood tests, scoped for ulcers and all negative. Diagnosis, boredom
One of my horses started chewing the barn. She destroyed about $2k worth of lumber and materials. Blood tests, scoped for ulcers and all negative. Diagnosis, boredom. Increased her pen from 48 x 48 to 220' x 88' and started working her more. No change. Bought this stuff and applied. It worked for a few days and then the chewing started again. Frustrated.
Replacement
Original aerosol can arrived damaged. Chewy was easy to work with to obtain a replacement quickly.

Okay first let me say that no where is this indicated it is safe for dogs, but I have used this to stop my puppy from chewing up my doorframes and have noticed no
Okay first let me say that no where is this indicated it is safe for dogs, but I have used this to stop my puppy from chewing up my doorframes and have noticed no harm come to him… and it worked to get him to stop tearing up everything. I will say that it does STINK though. so use caution if you’re using it inside as it will take several hours to air out. I even noticed that using it on an external door, the smell was still noticeable in the house for several hours. I refresh it outside after it rains and have noticed only minor additional chewing since application. It’s like he tried it and didn’t like the taste but he continues to pick at it every so often to check if it’s still bitter. I refresh after it rains and I haven’t noticed any staining on the wood or surrounding area. it may not be foul tasting enough to deter my dog for good, but it has definitely brought his destruction down to a point that Im no longer pulling my hair out. hopefully with persistence and continued application he will stop completely.
