This works as a fertilizer and a herbicide which is a type of pesticide that specifically targets weeds and other unwanted plants while still maintaining your lawn healthy. It is formulated with natural ingredients which makes it safe for pets and children to play on.

Being is corn based, will ants or similar bugs be attracted to this?

This fetilizer does not contain any sweetener so it should not attract those ants or similar bugs.

It takes approximately 6 bags to cover 1 acre of property so 7260 square feet per 1 bag.

Can this be applied in summer when grass appears to be stressed from heat?

This lawn fertilizer can be applied anytime, but the grass will need to be watered. It will not work overnight. The product helps the grass build a better root system, but need to get to the root, and watering the soil after an application is the best way to get the Play-on into the ground to assist the roots foundation.

False advertising

The product may or may not be good, but the application rate shown online is vastly different than what is on the bag that arrived. One 50lb bag treats 2500 square

The product may or may not be good, but the application rate shown online is vastly different than what is on the bag that arrived. One 50lb bag treats 2500 square feet according to the tag on the bag I received. When I contacted the manufacturer, I was given a different application rate, 600 lbs per acre. I love the idea of this product, but the manufacturer needs to improve their instructions and decide on an application rate. Not Chewy's fault!

Incredible-only a week to a greener lawn

Applied the fertilizer prior to getting rain, and it took only a week to green up and show new growth. Even the neighbors noticed the improvement. Plan to apply

Applied the fertilizer prior to getting rain, and it took only a week to green up and show new growth. Even the neighbors noticed the improvement. Plan to apply every few months this winter to prevent weeds this spring and build a better lawn for the summer

No instructions and no help from Chewy

I bought this for the safety of my dogs, however the product arrives in a plain brown bag with absolutely no instructions. I reached out to Chewy via the site and

I bought this for the safety of my dogs, however the product arrives in a plain brown bag with absolutely no instructions. I reached out to Chewy via the site and never received a response so I called and spoke with an agent and was told to go to YouTube for a tutorial. I just want the BASIC information that all other fertilizer products include....like when to apply, how to apply and what setting to use on a rotary spreader. I guess I just have to take a chance and hope that the money I spent on this will product will be worth the time and effort. I've never left a negative review for Chewy and have been with them for years, but am deeply disappointed in the lack of help.
