I wanted something that would be useful as furniture, but also contains the litter box so it doesn’t get awful smelly when my babies take a giant steaming pile and don’t cover it well. They’d never survive in the wild. This functions as shelves, i stuck deodorizers to the back, and it’s enclosed enough that the smell doesn’t escape. They love it so much, they won’t even use the boxes in the other rooms now. This bad boy is located in the living room, way too close to the dining room. Definitely recommend!

I am being honest, I had to take several breaks putting this thing together. My thumbs were tired and sore. The difficulty I had with those wood screws with the tiny Allen Wrench Head is the reason for 3 stars. Followed all of the instructions, and still made many mistakes. I couldn't figure out the numbers on the bags, and put longer Allen Screws in the wrong place, and broke through the veneer. I will have to putty over my mistakes. The wood screws that required that little Allen wrench, I kept stripping, and couldn't get them all the way in. Next time I see those type of screws, I'll use my drill to expand those holes a little. In the end, it is a protected area that my dog can't get to the cats' food bowls. And it holds all my animal supplies nicely.

This was fairly straightforward to assemble. We followed the directions to the letter. Our finished product is leaning just slightly to one side. We have a senior teacup dog who is pad trained and cut the opening panel all the way down to reduce the rise into the unit from 7 to 3.5 inches for her little legs. She took to it rather quickly. We also installed a tension shelf inside the bottom cabinet to store clean pads.
