Are you supposed to mix liquid into this food to moisten?

The purpose of adding water to our freeze-dried products is not to activate the nutrients in the meat, but rather to reconstitute the product back to its original moisture content. Many customers choose to feed their freeze-dried products dry and feeding in this way offers the same nutritional quality and benefits as feeding with water added. Their freeze-dried pellets do not absorb water like a sponge as they do not include fillers or preservatives of any kind in their products. Whether you add water or not is completely up to you and your pet’s personal preference.

Smells horrible and not for a sensitive system

I was hoping for a good natural food that Ginger (cat) could have besides her Blue Buffalo Beef Pate. This food is very dry, she has water at all times. I bought this to use as more of a treat food.. she likes it but then she goes into her gagging phases. I'm sorry to report, but I just don't think with her sensitive stomach she can digest it. The Blue Buffalo Beef Pate is the only food she can eat and not throw up.. I tried a lot of different flavors and varieties and for her system.. it is Blue Buffalo Beef pate only. I wish they made a Beef only dry cat food.
