A conditionally approved drug as designated by the FDA that is given when a product has been proven safe with a reasonable expectation of effectiveness based on the studies performed. This designation is often used by the FDA when there is an established need in disease states for which there is no other treatment option while the drug manufacturer continues to perform all required testing in larger cat populations.
Felycin-CA1 is a prescription drug to be prescribed by a licensed veterinarian after a confirmed HCM diagnosis. Felycin-CA1 should not be used in cats with diabetes mellitus. Do not administer in cats with pre-existing liver disease.

Recommended Dosage

Administer FELYCIN®-CA1 at a target dosage of 0.3 mg/kg (0.14 mg/lb) orally once weekly. Always consult your veterinarian for the most accurate dosing, and to ensure proper use of this medication. FELYCIN®-CA1 should be swallowed whole and not chewed. Do not split or crush tablets. FELYCIN®-CA1 should be administered in conjunction with a meal.

Storage Instructions

Store between 68 F - 77 F (20 C - 25 C). Excursions between 59 F - 86 F (15 C - 30 C) are permitted.

How should this drug be handled? Pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid contact with FELYCIN -CA1. People with known hypersenstivity to sirolimus should administer FELYCIN -CA1 with caution.

How should the tablets be stored? Always store tablets in the original packaging and only remove the required number of tablets from the blister at the time of dosing. Keep FELYCIN -CA1 in a secure location out of reach of dogs, cats and other animals to prevent accidental ingestion or overdose.

What should I be aware of? Ensure that any tablets that are not swallowed by the cat are disposed of immediately. Avoid direct contact with vomit, saliva, or tablet remnants. When cleaning up vomit, saliva, or tablet remnants, wear gloves and wash hands afterwards.
