top load carrier

This is the worse top loading crate that I've owned. The lid latches are difficult to close. I had a 13 pound rabbit in it and the handle popped off, causing the crate to fall and then the door and lid opened up. I no longer use that rabbit in it but cats and dogs often weigh more than that. The top lid is still difficult to latch.

Hard to open

This carrier was difficult to put together as all of the plastic pieces seemed to be the wrong size. Once together, if you barely touch the side, the clamps come unlocked and your cats could fall out. The front door does not open. The top door is very difficult to open as the plastic pieces are not well made. One side won't lock. The handle is held on by plastic as well and doesn't seem like it would hold a cat of 10 pounds or more. This was very disappointing.

poorly made

very poorly made - top door doesn't latch closed due to plastic not molded correctly - it is "bent inward"

My products from Chewy

I would definitely recommend this product specially if your fur baby needs to see you to keep calm. I love this product

Great size, easy assembly

Winnie outgrew our previous carrier so we'd given it to a friend only days before Binx literally walked into our house like he owned us lol. We needed something bigger, and quickly, so we could get him vetted. It's big enough for one of them to travel with blankets, or both of them for quick vet visits. It's super easy to assemble, light enough for effortless carrying, and doesn't feel as bulky or awkward as it should. My only concern is the strength of the handle. The top door with the carry handle snaps into place, rather than buckles or screws for reinforcement. It does feel sturdy, though, and hasn't let us down yet!

Cheaply made

I wish I would've read the reviews. Bought the small 19" one. Everything about this is cheap. Plastic latches for both doors, just plastic clips to hold the top to the bottom. I didn't even bother to attach the handle, as I wouldn't trust it anyway. Bought it for our new Pom puppy. It will be an extra one and he will only be sleeping in it at night. Won't be using it to take him anywhere. Will be looking for one with screws and a metal latch for the doors.

Clip design flaw

I like the light weight of the carrier, and the ease of snapping it together. The top load door is the best feature, however, I feel that the locking pins or clips for the top loading grill is a poor design and after an hour of trying to snap these in place, I gave up. I saw no viable way for these clips to keep the door from opening when lifting the carrier. I will look for a different design on top load carriers.

Don't bother- they should have looked at this better

This was hard to put together and didn't stay together. I even bruised my thumb on putting a snap in on the top that is to secure the wire lid- and yes it hurt. I should have checked this out better- I won't buy these again. And Chewy should do a better job of looking at products- especially if you can't get an animal in it or if you do- can't get an animal out. AND the handle- is a joke. Nothing like dumbing an animal in a carrier and it falls because that handle wont' stay togther.

Don't recommend

The tabs that secure the top to the bottom do not stay snapped in. The bottom fell off the first time we used it and the kitten fell out. Luckily we were still inside the vets office and could catch her again. The tabs had been firmly pushed in, but they are easily detached.
