When initially getting the product I was skeptical, the packaging was very plain and a bit flimsy looking. I also got this for my cat and the packaging had only a picture of a dog on it. There were no instructions included inside or on the outside of the package, so I was a little nervous to try it on him. In the winter my cat gets a matted spot on his back where he can’t reach and so far his normal brush combination just wasn’t getting deep enough to get the mat out. His hair is so thick there it was sticking up, getting greasy, and looked a mess. I gave this brush a try, it has two sides one shorter and one longer and the long side was exactly what I needed, it got down to the base of the mat and was able to break it up. I got so much hair out of one tiny spot. Overall this did the job I needed it to, and I think it would work well on animals with a mid to long coat (definitely not for short hair)

This grooming tool is a game changer! It’s a must have for long haired cats and works wonderfully for medium and short coats too. The stainless steel comb glides effortlessly through the fur, removing loose hair, tangles, and helping to prevent mats without pulling. The handle feels great in your hand with a comfortable, secure grip. My long haired boy was completely relaxed while being brushed, and I was amazed at how much hair it removed so easily. If you share your home with a cat, or five, this tool is a winner, and I highly recommend!
