Does this come with the pump? Also does the filter sock have a basket inside or is it just a filter sock?

This kit does not include a pump. The filter sock comes in a filter sock holder.

Will this work for a 20 gallon long tank?

This DIY Kit is designed to fit an 11-20 gallon tank and the 40 gallon is designed to fit a 21-40 gallon tank.

Does this fit in 20 gallons high?

The 20-gallon option measures 10.80 x 4.76 x 11.60 inches. It can be used in tanks measures 30.25 x 12.5 x 12.75 inches.
