I have a Dogue de Bordeaux (French Mastiff) who is 10 months old and just entered her very first heat. She is almost 100lb and I ordered XL and Large. The Large is definitely the perfect size for her. I will keep the XL for when she grows more and start to bulk out as she matures. The slit is definitely not too large/long if you get the correct size. These diapers are very adjustable, so even on my relatively large mastiff dog, the size Large is plenty enough. You can easily get away with the smaller size if you're debating between two sizes. The velcro holding the sides together is very long so you can adjust it as much or as little as you want. These also don't slide off when you have the right size and have put them on correctly, they fit like a glove and don't move out of place. So very happy with these, and she doesn't seem to mind them at all. For a dog that has never worn anything before, she is surprisingly "unaware" of these diapers she has on. Hopefully that means they are comfortable too. The only thing I would change is adding a little more and softer elastic around the belly part. There is a short area of elastic band, but I feel it's too short and not elastic enough. I believe these would be more comfy for the belly if it was. Either way, I highly recommend these! Definitely buy them, but do not buy too big.
I've used other heat panties for our pups in the past and this one is SO much better! I picked it because of the longer slit-style tail opening as with our other big dogs it was a STRUGGLE to stuff a labrador tail through the tiny round openings of other diapers, and the elastic pressure around the tail would drive our dogs nuts. Easy to put on, easy to adjust, washes up easily in the sink and fits our 70lb Shepherd great! It IS a teeny bit baggy underneath the tail, but all of her discharge has been contained and I'd rather there be a little airflow to help prevent UTIs. The ruffles are pretty stinking cute.
Very nice quality but I indeed wrong size so it don't fit
We bought these for my pup who is still being potty trained. They work great. We also bought the pad liners.
Very cute product for the situation. After trying one, I ordered two more! Washes up nicely.
This was perfect for our Great Pyrenees puppy and she looked so cute too! She was so good at letting us put it on and so easy to take off! We used panty liners inside to keep her and tutu clean. She is 95 pounds and we ordered the large and still had a little room for growth. We are going to have her spade but was advised to allow her to go to full maturity before doing so. Highly recommend this doggy tutu diaper! Thank you!
THESE BRITCHES ARE GREAT. WITH THE VELCROW IT MAKES A PERFECT FIT. MAKE SURE TO MEASURE YOUR DOG FIRST THOUGH.
Like most cloth “fancy pants” These are a diaper cover or you need to use a pad if your female needs help with peeing. My female was in season and I washed them every day ( had multiple pairs) so I didn’t use a pad out of fear of her eating it. What I liked about this pair was the tail hole was more of a slit than a hole so I didn’t feel like it was pushing her tail down and it made it easier to get them on. The terrier was not as compliant as the Dobermans were in the past so I needed all the help I could get!
Hi! I love the look of my Ballerina diaper but it's a bit saggy on my bottom. For reference purposes I'm a 10 month old Cane Corso with a 26" waist. At 90lbs I still expect to add 22 to 30lbs before fully grown. Perhaps by my next heat cycle it'll fit better. So my mistress says.
This product worked great for my 8mo GSD's first heat. It looked very stylish on a dog with a typical for GSD sloping back; the big tail opening is fantastic (no elastics to irritate the tail base); double-sided velcro closure is great - it took just a few sessions for my pup to learn to stay still while I put the diaper on. I used folded kitchen towels to absorb the discharge, changing them as frequently as was needed. The position of the towel had to be slightly adjusted to fit breed-specific back and tail positions, but this was very minor. My floors stayed clean, and washing the diaper was very easy either by hand or on a delicate cycle. Materials, stitching, style - all A+.
