Sounded AWESOME!! But......

So the obvious reason for purchasing this to prevent my Bloodhounds long ears from sitting in the water bowl while he drinks. The concept sounded great and it looks

So the obvious reason for purchasing this to prevent my Bloodhounds long ears from sitting in the water bowl while he drinks. The concept sounded great and it looks like it would work, except when he moves his head to the opposite bowl to eat, his ear drags across the water bowl and get wet anyway. Sometimes, his ear STILL sits in the water bowl while he's eating as well. IMHO, the bowls are too close together and should be spaced about another 1"-2" inches apart I would've rated this as average or 'OK' at 3 stars, but the pad is a bit 'flimsy' as well and tends to stay curled up on the edges. The way it was shipped, it seems this design was to save money not only on material, but shipping as the foam pad can be shipped rolled up. So I'm deducting 1 star for a flimsy pad. A neat idea, but just missed the mark.

Seemed Like a Good Idea

Ok I guess

The concept is awesome but my bloodhoud still makes such a mess. Water still gets all over her ears.
