Toensure optimal nutrition and calcium intake, let your mealworm feed on the diet for 48 hours before offering to your pet. Replace diet once it breaks down and becomes dusty. If keeping mealworms longer than one week, you may store them in a refrigerator to prevent them from changing into beetles.
