I found setting everything up was easy. I found a useful video on the Fluval website. The only thing I'm uncertain on is the tanks and the regulator. This was my first time setting up a system like this, or any aquarium in general. The tank lasted less than a week. I only had it on when I had the lights on, which is 12 hours. (I'm adjusting this based on things I've read, but who knows.) I hope it was user error, otherwise I think it would be a better investment to get a regualr sized CO2 regulator.
This product works fine. Make sure you use co2 grade hose and screw the tank on quickly and tight. Then open the tank slowly, a little at a time until yiu see the bubbles start coming out of the bubbler, one bubble per second. Before you start soak the diffuser in water and let it sit for 12 to 24 hours before use. Thisbis what i do and has been working great. Use it only when the lights are on.
Would give it less than 1 star if that was an option. Believe the bad reviews that you read. It leaked the first tank slowly over night. Took time to reassemble it with the first refill, it blew out the tank immediately. Tried again with the same result. Don’t do it.
