My dog Bella still uses it but her food falls down through the holes and she has to move the mat to get to the food that fell through. The cloth pieces are tied to the plastic they come untied. This is not what I expected. I was expecting a solid rug that she could sniff her food out. I am back looking for a cloth rug that is one piece for her to sniff her food out. But it is making her use her nose like I want and slowing her down with eating.

I bought this for my almost 2 yo JRT. She loves snuffle mats, but will tear up cheaper ones. So, I invested in this based on the reviews. The fabric is very sturdy

The fabric is very sturdy and I like the option to interlock mats. BUT, I did not realize that the plastic grid on the back means that food and treats can fall through and end up on the ground. That is why I took off 2 stars.
Don't buy if your dog is a chewer

IN LESS THAN A MINUTE IT WAS CLEAR, this is not safe (even with supervision) and certainly not worth the money! SECONDS after placing it on the floor, my dog found the plastic tabs on the side and easily snapped them off and began chewing on them. I thought it was a fluke, but on a second try she actually broke off part of the plastic webbing. The plastic was extremely brittle.
