This life jacket is a flotation aid intended for dogs only. Always supervise your dog when using this product and use only in calm waters. The jacket's top handles should be used to lift your dog during an emergency only and are not intended for excessive use.
Please keep in mind, pups come in all shapes and sizes so your unique pup's breed size may not directly reflect our size naming.
For the best fit, we recommend selecting the size based on your pet's chest measurement. Once you have determined the correct size, you should then reference the weight the life jacket can safely support. If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two.
TIPS: For first time users, start by putting the life jacket on for short durations at a time and encourage your dog by giving treats. Ensure fit is snug. This life jacket does not need to fit the entire length of your dog for it to perform as intended.
Hand wash cold with mild detergent. Do not bleach. Hang to dry. Wash separately.

What is the best way to measure dog for the best fit?
To find the right jacket for your pup, measure their chest, neck and weight. Then, compare their measurements to the size chart and the Maximum Buoyant Weight listed. To measure the chest girth you'll measure at the broadest part of the chest behind the front legs and to measure for the neck girth you'll measure at the broadest part of the neck. For the best fit, we recommend selecting the size based on your pet's chest measurement. Once you have determined the correct size, you should then reference the weight the life jacket can safely support.
What is the Maximum Buoyant Weight for each size?
If my dog is in between sizes, how should I choose the best size?
If the dog happens to be in between sizes, it's then recommended to select the bigger size.
What is the best way to clean?
It is recommended to hand wash in cold water with mild detergent, do not bleach, wash separate from other clothing. For best results, hang to dry.

I got this in an x-large a little over a year ago for my Great Pyrenees-Newfie-Berner mix (he is 3 and weighs 130lbs). The XL fits him comfortably (with the straps extended to their maximum length) and the lifejacket is bright so he stands out in the water (his fur is mostly black). The handle is nice too. My dog is a good swimmer but sometimes needs help getting in and out of the water at my aunts lake house and, again, I like that the lifejacket is bright and stands out in the water. I think it helps keep him afloat a little bit but I wouldn’t necessarily put this on a dog who cannot swim.
I purchased a small for my standard dachshund. He is about 15lbs and rather looong. This vest was perfect for picking him up by the handle as well as leashing him with the D ring on the life vest. Initially bought this vest just for the boat as it says advanced swimmer but this is his first summer and he used this vest for his first swim! It worked great & kept him afloat! Buying another when it goes on sale to have a back up.
Perfect for an active dog who still wants to run around but also still be safe! Light so my doggo doesn’t overheat. She’s a heeler (45lbs) Medium fits great.
Got this for our 8lb Pomeranian for going on the boat. No swimming yet. It’s adorable, lightweight, easy on & off plus very durable! She’s been wearing it for 2 seasons now & we love it! Everyone comments on how cute it is! Highly recommend!
Fits just slightly loose on my 14lb chihuahua terrier mix, despite what the measurements say. He was able to slip right out on land. However, this worked BEAUTIFULLY in the water especially for the price.
I bought this cute Life Vest for my Giant Schnauzer. I followed the measurement instructions but it's way too large for her and she's a big block at about 85 lbs. I'm donating it to the MCSO K-9's. If you are ordering and close to the next size up DON"T size up.
My Frenchie Puppy Weighs 12.8lbs 13" Long got him a size small, had to put on the smallest setting to fit, which means he can grow with it! My Maltese is 9.8lbs measures 13" got her a xsmall and it is snug, and short. I'm hoping once her hair is wet it wont be as tight. Overall very happy with the price and quality. Lightweight, not bulky cute color.
Have to order again because of size chart being wrong
I like this jacket but I don’t love it. It definitely works great as a flotation device, no worries there. And it allows for great movement for running and jumping. The part I don’t like is that it supports my dogs middle section so well that it actually angles his face into the water so as he swims he is sucking in water as he breathes. Not sure if this is because of my dog’s body shape or because the vest is very floaty, take that as you will. My 75 lb boxer pit mix just fits into the XL, we could have done a large instead, the vest has lots of room for adjustment.
My 6.5 pound silky mix loves her life jacket and when she spontaneously jumped off my paddle board it was so easy to use the handle on top to pop her out of the water and back on the board. She can swim to shore in it and then run around. I pack it every time I bring my suit somewhere - gives me great piece of mind.
