How do you use the tether?

This works for the back seat of a 2018 Honda Odyssey

You have to pull in the head rest straps as tight as possible so the seat upright portion doesn't sag, but otherwise it fits pretty well for a universal fit seat

You have to pull in the head rest straps as tight as possible so the seat upright portion doesn't sag, but otherwise it fits pretty well for a universal fit seat cover. It may be an inch or two too wide but nothing you can't work with. The straps on the lower portion that drapes down in front of the seat bottom secures snuggly under the edges of the seat fronts. The PVC pipe hold-downs that fit between the seat upright and base need to be secured which I did by using a long heavy duty twist tie around them and the extra seat belt attachment points on the lower seat backs just above the back end storage area. The whole thing is well made and I expect it to last the lifetime of the van. This will be a big help in protecting the third row seats from my grandkids as well.
