This aquarium is suitable for a goldfish. It is safe for freshwater fish and is an ideal size for a single betta fish or small tropical fish. A filter is needed to remove waste and keep the water clean and oxygenated.

A great tank for a Betta

So, the "one-star" people go out of their way to comment that a Betta fish needs at least 5 gallons on all the aquariums that are below 5 gallons, then here nothing

So, the "one-star" people go out of their way to comment that a Betta fish needs at least 5 gallons on all the aquariums that are below 5 gallons, then here nothing. The best selling fish book from 1935-1968 was Exotic Aquarium Fishes by Innes, he recommended for a 5 gallon: 6 Bloodfins, 2 Medakus, 1 2-inch Paradise, 1 1/4" Cory, 2 Playt, 3 White Cloud and 2 Brachydoris rerio. 17 small fish. Man! Have times changed!

Sturdy, clean tank. Kinda iffy top

No cracks or leaks, this tank feels pretty sturdyand hasn't given me any problems yet. My only gripe is the top. It's two glass panels hinged together that cover

No cracks or leaks, this tank feels pretty sturdyand hasn't given me any problems yet. My only gripe is the top. It's two glass panels hinged together that cover about 2/3 of the top of the tank, accompanied by a seperate plastic part that has to be attached to cover the whole tank. The plastic attachment is... not straight, so no matter how you put it together, the top isn't flush with the tank. Minor problem, I know, but it could've just been all glass. And /because/ it's not flat, the top likes to wiggle off. So if you do get it, make sure the tank won't be hit often, or the top might just fall off and break.

Decent tank!

After not being able to find just a plain fish tank and lid at my local pet stores without all the built-in stuff I ordered this and I’m glad I did. No leaks, perfectly

After not being able to find just a plain fish tank and lid at my local pet stores without all the built-in stuff I ordered this and I’m glad I did. No leaks, perfectly clear glass, seems to be well sealed. As for the lid, it’s a bit flimsy but not too bad. You just have to be careful. I’m hoping it’s enough to keep my cat out when I actually put the fish in. The little handle it came with that you’re supposed to stick on to the top came off after 3 days as the adhesive is not strong enough to endure the humidity that comes from the tank. I just used superglue to put it back on and it works perfectly fine now!

Perfect fish tank

It's a Aquarium Masters tank. When I seen it was coming from California to Michigan I thought it would smashed. It was package vary good and nothing wrong with it
