Is the personalization on the tags engraved or printed?
The personalization on this tag is engraved with a laser engraver. The engraving process does not involve the use of inks or printing. If the tag is worn with other tags (i.e. license tags, additional pet tags, charms, etc.) the tag surface, along with engraved design and personalization, can wear due to friction.
The ring was not meant for leash attachment. The tag�s split ring is meant only for attachment of the tag to a collar/harness.

Hasnt lasted
Not very deeply engraved and is unreadable within a year due to other tags hitting and marring. Might stand up better if on same ring as the rest of the dogs tags.
Robust tag
These tags are very good. They are thicker than the average, very good quality, and are easy to read the info on the tag.

Not what I expected
I was disappointed in the engraving on this item. If I didn't know what it was supposed to say, I would be hard pressed to make it out. The letters in our last name were so close together it was very hard to tell what the name was. The only reason I kept the item was because our phone number was done just right, and if we ever lost our dog (!), it would be easy to call us and let us know he had been found. Everything I have ever ordered from Chewy has been spot-on; this item, not so much.
looks worn after only three weeks?
i bought this back in june or july but didn't get to use it on my dog until mid august. its been three weeks and my dog has just been in the house, backyard, and to the vet once. the tag looks like its at least a tear or two old based on the damage. it just looks so dingy now. all the text on the back of the tag has the same weird dark spots around it like in the crook of the Y making my address and number barely legible.
Not a cat tag
Great tags, but the "small" is way too large for our cats! We can't use them because they dangle too low and annoy them.
