Is there a place for leash to attach?

While the parka itself does not attach to a leash, it does feature an opening at the back of the neck for a leash to slide through to attach to a collar underneath.

Are the hook and loop fasteners quite large, and how many are there ? Is there also a velcro closure under the flap ?

Velcro is a hook and loop fastener. One side is called the hook and the other side is called the loop. This parka has one fastener up the belly and a snap button at the neck.

Is the hat removable?

The hat is not removable. This parka does have a snap on the back to keep the hood out of the way when it’s not needed.

If my dog measures between two sizes, do I go up or down in size?

My leggy girl needs some protection for her hairless belly (she's a recent rescue) and this coat really helps. The velcro is getting a little stringy but is still very grippy. I love that you can just wipe gravel and dirt off it. The hood is non-functional, but does help to keep her neck warm. This is my go to for my little girl on cold walks.

Great dog jacket

I live in California and when it gets into the mid-40’s it is cold for our pups. This is a great medium weight jacket to keep the warm and dry but not too hot

I live in California and when it gets into the mid-40’s it is cold for our pups. This is a great medium weight jacket to keep the warm and dry but not too hot. It doesn’t bother my dog to put it on. You have to Velcro the closure on their tummy but it isn’t too hard. All around great product and even better price!

I loved the coat. Nice weight. Sadie is a lab, little chunky, and even though I got an XXL, it wasn't big enough. Thinking the coat might run small for its size

I loved the look and warmth of this item but unfortunately it was too snug for my pup. It was tight over his harness & since he's a Frenchie, the next size up wouldn't work because his body length is too short. Chewy's customer service is great and immediately refunded the purchase price. For a dog that doesn't have a stocky build, this parka would be perfect.
