To measure your pet, we recommend using a soft measuring tape or the printable measuring tape on the Size tab. To measure your pet's body length, measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail; measure the neck by carefully measuring the circumference of the pet's neck leaving room for two fingers; to measure the chest, measure of the widest part (around the pet's belly). Tip: get lots of treats and a human buddy to help keep your pet still while measuring and write down each measurement to easily compare to size chart!
For the best fit, match the below dimensions to your pet's measurements as closely as possible. If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two.

Too large for pet birds, but perfect for Peanut!
I wildly misjudged the sizing on this and it was far too large for my pet pigeons. As per Chewy Customer Service, I donated the hat to my local wildlife rehabber/rescue!

My piggie would not keep the hat on even long enough to take a picture... BUT I have kittens! This little cowboy hat is the perfect size for kittens. The elastic band is held together by velcro for resizing, which made it difficult to get the right size. A drawstring would've probably worked better. The hat is made of felt, and unfortunately doesn't hold it's shape. It looks more like a bowler hat. It does fit well once adjusted, but tends to slide back easily.

If your pets haven't been compassionately conditioned to think like that, don't stress them out. It's very sad. I wont do it again.
