To use the stake, first make sure the stake is vertical. Strike the top of the Stake until the two wings come into contact with the ground. Pound the stake into the ground until dome is level with ground surface.

What is the diameter of the stake's steel rod?

The 20-inch stake measures 11 mm in diameter and the 24-inch stake measures 12.1 mm in diameter.

how is this in soft soil and sand, in florida the is sand under soil, will this hold

Sturdy

So this thing was a little hard to get into my clay soil, but I used my body weight and it went in the whole way. I wanted to be able to tie out my dog while gardening

So this thing was a little hard to get into my clay soil, but I used my body weight and it went in the whole way. I wanted to be able to tie out my dog while gardening and it withstood him barking and pulling at it when another dog walked by our house. Did the trick!

Stays in the ground

My 50 lb dog has not pulled it out of the ground. The corkscrew type had to be constantly put back into the ground. The dog loves to run in circles around the tie

Work great. Very sturdy.

Does what its supposed to do. Just be sure to pound in in at or just below yard surface to avoid tripping or hitting it with your lawn mower deck.

Hard to get in ground

We have sandyish soft soil and this way to long poor designed stake was incredibly hard to screw into the ground. Had to dig a hole and bury it in. Just poor engineering

the stake is made of quality material. I really like the bright color for easy detection in the yard. The ring that you hook the cable to spins easily, so dog

The only con was it was a little difficult to screw into the ground. It was manageable, but I definitely won't be relocating it anytime soon!
