Our Australian Shepherds fur picks up all kinds of weeds, seeds and foxtails in the spring. With their thick coats, regular combs don’t get through well enough to remove that stuff. Then I thought of flea combs. I tried many and broke a lot of comb teeth. This comb has been the toughest of all and does a great job helping us get all that stuff from the most difficult places on our dogs that the bigger brushes couldn’t get. A couple teeth did bend out of place, therefore, a 4 star rating
While I understand the is a flea comb, I was absolutely shocked it pulled a fat flea off my girl. (Mostly bc we spend so much on monthly flea preventives), however because she’s an outdoor/indoor we’ve incorporated daily wipe downs and brush downs into her coming back inside routine. In short, the comb worked(& thankfully there was just the one flea)! The comb gets down to the skin, with no pulling. It helps that the comb teeth ends are rounded out and smooth, which must feel nice against the skin as my usually grumpy girl did not bat/hiss or swat while brushing, (yes treats are always involved). The colors are also aesthetically pleasing & the price point is reasonable. Overall I’m purchasing another one for our travel kit as soon as it’s back in stock.
I like it but my kitten needs to grow into. She moves around too quick and it’s metal. Right now her boar brush is good.
This comb did not comb through my cat's fur. It's totally ineffective for combing for fleas. While this may be suitable for some, I wouldn't recommend.
The comb works great especially since it is like 2 combs side by side.
This item is fantastic thanks
It does not for fleas , we have another small comb what works better. This comb works only for hair; I donated it to the sheltor.
This worked okay but my cat is a ragdoll and his hair is thick but really fine. It was difficult getting it around his belly area.
Helps me keep my dog's hair nice and clean. It removes any debris.
My dog is a 11-year Belgian Shepherd mix, so his fur is rather thick and kinda long. Single-row flea combs were not working and he had a lot of fleas! Using this comb in combination with lightly soapy warm water did the job! Did this about once a day for a week after he had been given flea meds by the vet, and he was so much better! He was itching less, his coat was looking nice, he was so much more energetic, and now we only get dirt when using this comb. Use this in combination with the Safari double-row flea comb, and those fleas won't know what hit them!
