To measure your pet, we recommend using a soft measuring tape or the printable measuring tape on the Size tab. To measure your pet's body length, measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail; measure the neck by carefully measuring the circumference of the pet's neck leaving room for two fingers; to measure the chest, measure of the widest part (around the pet's belly). Tip: get lots of treats and a human buddy to help keep your pet still while measuring and write down each measurement to easily compare to size chart!
For the best fit, match the below dimensions to your pet's measurements as closely as possible. If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two.

This firetruck guinea pig costume is super cute! It has Velcro straps that go underneath to hold it on with the bonus of being somewhat adjustable. Our piggy was not very excited about putting it on, but she tolerated it just fine after she got settled in. The fireman hat also attaches with Velcro and makes the outfit. She didn’t seem to mind the hat at all. This would be great for Halloween or a birthday party.

The Velcro straps could maybe be sewed a little bit better, it was slightly frayed when I took it out of the box, but you're obvious not going to leave your piggy in this outfit unsupervised so it's not a big deal. This costume is for a larger sized furred gp, and does not fit on my skinny pig at all. The gp it did fit on was able to move around and it didn't hinder her at all, and once she got used to having something on her she didn't seem to mind it.

The outfit is full of cute details like a little hose with silver nozzle and a little silver ladder on the top of the outfit. It is very sturdy and holds its shape. The belly strap does a great job of holding the firetruck to the pigs' sides, but the front straps are just a bit too wide to keep a good fit if the pig is less than thrilled about being in the outfit. Popcorn was able to use the firmness of the outfit to push her front legs out of the harness, but Peanut walked around, pretending to be a firetruck, like a champ! The hat, sides, and front all attach using velcro, which makes dressing the guinea pig much easier. It would just be better if the front enclosure (that goes around the neck and under the guinea pig's chin) were a little smaller.

The firetruck is my favorite but all three that I’m reviewing for Chewy are awesome. The Velcro seems to be just right in that it will keep the costume on while able to get off without much trouble…again a surprise to me! Only giving them 4 stars because the hats seem particularly annoying (though really cute).

He was a bit grumpy about his fashion show and tried to nip us but, we were even able to put his hat on without getting bit. Once he was fully dressed, he was fine and showed off to his furry friends.
