I bought two coats for my boys and they're just the right weight for a raincoat/windbreaker. The Frisco brand is well priced and you can tell they put thought into making these coats. The inside has a nice T-shirt material so the "tougher" material isn't against their bodies, the zipper has a flap to cover it so it doesn't get caught in their hair, the hood is detachable and the snaps are covered by fabric so it's not rubbing on them, plus they're a really cute color! The only thing I would change is I wish there were more "in between" sizes. My littlest guy's coat is a little tight on him, but the next size up would be way too big.

Our Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier, Gertie, is a little too leggy for pullover dog clothes. When buying clothes for her, we always go for items that clasp or zip in multiple places over pullover types. It has been difficult to find clothes that fit her body type. She is 39lbs, and her measurements are 17" neck, 22" back, 28" chest. This jacket fits very well when her hair is shaved short, however, now that she has grown out a little, the jacket is a bit snug. It is adorable, though, and getting it off and on is easy. I don't feel like I'm hurting her when I bend her leg slightly to dress and undress her, while the pullover styles always fit her body, but getting her legs in was a struggle and I didn't feel comfortable forcing it. It's very cute, and I love that the hood is removable. We have received several compliments and people asking where we got it. It did not take long for Gert to get used to it, either, and she does not mind the hood. Thrilled with this purchase!

XL is a perfect fit for our 40lb dog. The fabric softer than the pics show. The hood is more aesthetic than functional but the draw strings work and everything.

The only complaint i have is the sizing. My dogs are 55lbs and because I read the description i knew which size to order, but if you were to order a standard size I'd order a medium and that would I don't believe that would even fit a 20lb dog. I read the description and ordered a XXL which fit nicely. The dark blue is a beautiful color as well.

I am going to try to find a way to fix it, since I really like the jacket, but for now he won't be wearing it to run around outside.

This jacket actually had enough space for my dogs front legs. He looks very stylish and we have already gotten a few compliments while on walks. The zipper zips easily and makes it a lot easier to get his legs in. He isn't a fan of the hood yet so I like that it's detachable while he works up to getting more comfortable with it.
