I was excited to give this toy a try because my cat is OBSESSED with lasers. Unfortunately he’s not really into it since it barely moves. And when he does try to play with it, the laser shuts off and by the time it turns back on, he’s already lost interest. It’s a powerful laser so that’s a plus, it’s hard to find a laser that can be used in day light. I’ll probably end up donating this to my local shelter. But if you have a cat that has a longer attention span than mine and willing to give it more of a wack, it might be good for you.

This toy is wonderful for cats.....It moves randomly on its own once it is touched and the cats are entranced....And once it stops moving, they bat at it again and it starts moving in random patterns with the laser moving in whatever direction the rolling movement is going...Only thing is I had to cut out part of the hat where the laser was so that it would hit the ground and not the hat

I don't review many purchases from places I shop because I’m happy if the item meets my expectations. However, when an item exceeds expectations, this is of note. Yuki loves this toy! It's the first electronic toy he has shown significant interest in. He first noticed it while I had it plugged in and charging, and while curious, didn't go nuts for the silver vine (catnip does nothing for him). But once it was all charged up and I turned it on, he was all over it, wanting to destroy the red dot. It also appears it's responsive to him touching it. Definitely a great value and an opportunity to get him exercising and playing. Oh, and to whoever is listening at Chewy, make a Dreidel toy with the same functionality or better (bonus if I can add my own supply of catnip or silvervine), and I will happily buy it!

Awesome toy for active cats!

I have 5 cats between 1 year old and 5 years old. They tend to be lazy for than not and it’s not healthy for them. This toy definitely put a stop to that laziness

I have 5 cats between 1 year old and 5 years old. They tend to be lazy for than not and it’s not healthy for them. This toy definitely put a stop to that laziness. Once you charge it up, the cats can self activate it and play for hours! My younger guys play with it more than the older guys, but they’ve took a turn. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 are the following: the laxer only goes a short distance due to the hat point weight causing it to weigh to one side. So unless they are right on top of it they can’t see it. But once they start playing they love it. The laser timer could also be a bit longer. Once they get their wiggles out ready to pounce, it’s usually off by then. But all in all, would definitely buy again. Great toy!!!

This is another really cute and well-made toy from the Frisco brand. It spins on the floor and has a red laser dot that projects onto the floor and captures my cat's attention. The light shows up even in bright daylight. It apparently contains catnip and silvervine as well, although my cat didn't really react to that. I like that it has a rechargeable USB port and cord, so it stays ready to play. It's fun for Halloween!

I received this witch hat laser cat toy from chewy this week. When it arrived, it needed a good charging with the included USB cord. Once it was fully charged, we gave it a try with our kitties. Maze has been playing with this toy now for a good 20 minutes. Meowing at it, pawing at it, and trying to figure it out. She is definitely having a good time! Poppy on the other hand, is an old man and quite skeptical about it! It is a little more mobile on a hard floor vs. carpet, but even on the carpet the laser is very visible for the kitties to chase! Great toy!

a rare 100% hit

I got this for my kitten to keep her occupied when we can’t actively play with her and knew she would love it, but I was not expecting our 3 older cats to also love
