I bought this crate bundle for my Mini Aussie. I purchased a medium size so he would have room to stretch out. His crate is his safe haven! He sleeps in it, escapes the little Grands, & overall just loves to lay in it. I am very pleased with the size and price for this deal!
This is a well made dog crate and relatively easy to set up. I am pleased with the product - the only problem is I bought it to use in my car (for a dog with very poor car manners) and I wouldn't get it into my small vehicle! Check the area where you plan to use it!
This crate was a little tough to put together, as some of the wires got hung on another part. It is extremely heavy duty and the perfect size for our golden retriever to stand up and turn around! Thrilled with this purchase and love that the crate comes with a padded bedding.
This crate is perfect for our 30 plus pound dog to stand up and turn around in. We purchased it for a trip and it met our needs perfectly to fold down and reinstall in the home we were staying at. It is heavy which adds to the sturdiness.
I ordered a dog crate for Roxie, but when it arrived I realized it was the wrong size. Exchanging it was going to be a pain, but had to be done. Chewy not only sent me the correct size, but let me keep the first one and only asked that it might be donated to a shelter or such that might need it. Free of charge and hassle for us! We now have the right size, the first crate has been donated, and I am very pleased with their work ethics. I will use Chewy again when I need to!
This crate was a great deal and was exactly what I was looking for. Just a spot for my dog to sleep stretched all the way out if she wants. Keeps her from getting into things if I'm not home.
Good crate. No complaints. Would recommend.Seems like it would last a lifetime.
Turned out I didn't need the crate after my cast pairing went very well and very quickly. I was allowed to donate it to the local aspca. That was lovely. Lifelong customer now.
We are happy with this crate. Like other reviews we read before we purchased it, the directions for assembly are buried inside the crate when it arrives flat. We knew from past crate purchases how to assemble. I do not like the clips that hold it together when flat. Once the crate is together, they lay flat and stick out. I have stepped on them too many times. The dog bed is nice.
I'll start my review w/ the assembly instructions for anyone who needs it, because the manual comes stuck inside the folded crate & can't be removed without ripping it up through the bars: (1) Place the folded crate on the floor with the plastic part on the bottom (2) Unlatch the locks on the side of the crate (3) Unfold the top of the crate like a book so it lies flat on the ground. Using both hands, grab the top panel and pull it upward (4) While holding the top of the crate, reach inside and pull the door panel toward you until it fits into the u-shaped hooks on the side panels. >> Now you should be able to safely pull out the manual and follow the rest of the instructions. Other than that annoyance, it's a pretty decent crate! Easy to assemble & very large, I ordered the 48" and it's super roomy for my 70lb dog. It doesn't seem very "heavy duty" though, I don't think it would withstand an escape attempt from a strong dog. And as for the mat, it's pretty but useless: too thin to actually function as a bed. For anyone deciding between the crate + mat bundle and the crate alone, if the crate alone is cheaper I'd recommend going for that, because the mat really isn't worth it.
