Ridiculous care instructions

I just noticed the care instructions on this item after I had been using it awhile. Care instructions are "Spot clean only." Do they think our pets are stuffed animals? They eat, pee and poop in the tunnel. Of course it has to be washed. I have been washing by hand and hanging to dry, which seems to work well, and it dried faster than I expected. I do recommend removing the tag before putting it in the cage, as it ia hazard for rats that like to chew. In addition, the loud "crinkle" noise is listed as a feature, but it took my rats some time and encouragement to ignore it; they were scared by it at first. This item seems to be well made. I hope the furry interior makes my rats feel cozier for the winter than the simple fabric tube I use in the summer. They occasionally sleep and eat in it, but much prefer their plastic pod, where I have installed a fleece liner.
