WHY did I not read the ONE review on here that mentioned the exacttt same issues that I have with the product? It is so cute and everything I wanted. Unfortunately, there are several bare spots, where you see the brown of the board underneath (several very visible spaces between the ropes on each end) & then they label the star with a number, to help with assembly, but when you pull the sticker off, it pulls off the color of the star. Now I have a spot where the sticker took the paint off. If the bare spaces didn’t stand out so much, along with the staples (dangerous!) ..I wouldn’t mind the sticker issue so much. It would’ve been a perfect fit for my needs without these three issues. It is tall enough for my adult cat (Don’t listen to the reviewer who said it’s for kittens) but not sturdy enough to stand alone. You have to put it next to something or it will slide. Cheaply made Frisco!

I just took this out last week as I was saving it for Christmas. My grandson knocked into it as he was going past it and it just split apart about 2" from the base

I bought this candy cane for my cats Christmas 2021 n the cactus one i got Christmas 2020. You can see from pix that the cactus stood up to the cats better than the candy cane which started to unravel only 2 months in. The cactus lasted for 6 months b4 it started to unravel. Now granted I do have 4 cats using it but still it should have lasted a bit longer than it did.

I have numerous freestanding posts and this is far by the worst one . Where the top sisal part and the base sisal part attached the staples holding it on are very sharp and obtrusive. I wish it would have come in one piece to attach to base I have many cats and not even one plays with this. Waste of money even though it was on sale.
