About This Item

Details

  • These boots protect your pup’s paws from the street sizzle of sunny days with rubber soles, breathable mesh uppers and reflective straps. Boots are sold as a pair and furnishing all four paws requires purchasing two sets.
  • A hook-and-loop closure at the ankle and a bungee cord at the opening with an adjustable stopper let you fine-tune the fit so they stay comfortable and prevent the boots from slipping off.
  • An elastic pocket provides a place to tuck away the excess bungee cord for a clean look and added safety.
  • Available in multiple sizes so you can find the perfect fit for your pup. Most breeds have slightly larger front paws and may need two different sizes for their front and back paws.
  • Frisco products are crafted to deliver more happy moments together—from adorable apparel and engaging toys, to leak-proof potty gear. Designed, tested and approved by the pet experts at Chewy.

Will these work in freezing temps as well?

What is the inside material? Will it be comfortable if the paws are injured?

These boots were not designed to be used on dogs with injuries. There is no inner lining, it is polyester and rubber.

These seem like great boots, especially for the price. We bought these for our dog’s back feet so she doesn’t drag them and wear her toenails down to the quick as she relearns to walk after a spinal injury. They would be perfect for this purpose, but run a bit large, so they don’t stay in place and trip her up a little, which isn’t good. I would recommend sizing down. My dog’s feet are at the upper end of the size small range, so should really fill them out, but there’s still a lot of room inside. I’d reorder XS but it doesn’t look like they are available. Otherwise, they have a very sturdy sole, are well made, and have good Velcro and bungee fasteners.

Comfort

I wasn't sure if I should buy these for my golden mix, but she was so good and I think she likes walking with them on in salt and snow! I will try in hot summer

Didn’t stay on

Might’ve been my dog, but they just didn’t stay on her. I certainly liked the look of them and it seemed like they would protect the dog from the hot summers here

The main problem here is sizing. My dog's feet absolutely meet the size small guidelines. But these boots are waaaay too big! The boot is basically like a big tube with a sole on it. Because the velcro strap is adjustable, she can wear them if I wrap it very tightly, but there is a lot of empty space inside the foot-area of the boot. THE GOOD: the soles are sturdy and thick, the fabric is light, waterproof and allows water to drain out. They are very adjustable and easy to put on. THE BAD: One little elastic "keeper" for the bungee is tearing. Another of the bungees broke almost immediately. We've used the boots on about 4 active outings so far, the fabric is thin, beginning to look a bit worn, but they are holding up okay except for the bungees, which I will probably just remove. My dog is VERY active and playful, they stay on with minor adjustments. One time a rear boot turned around so that the sole was on top, but again, they are too large. I have just ordered an XS pair, which seems crazy for a 36 lb dog, but I will report back! SUPER, SUPER GOOD: Chewy's return policy so I don't have to worry about making a mistake and being stuck with them.

These boots were very difficult to put on our dog.

We thought these boots would be a great idea since we live in Arizona, however, for our dog, we found them almost impossible to put them on our dog ( Chocolate Lab)

Good with a large drawback if your pup has dewclaws

Good hard but flexible bottom of shoes. Only issue is the placement of the strap. my pup has his front dewclaws still and the velcro strap that keeps the shoe on

Good hard but flexible bottom of shoes. Only issue is the placement of the strap. my pup has his front dewclaws still and the velcro strap that keeps the shoe on lays right where his dewclaw is. Ended up rubbing the nail on his skin and it became raw and started bleeding. Any recommendations would be greatly apprecieated

My dog wasn’t too fond of boots at first but once he got used to them he walked like normal and I think he appreciates that the pavement/asphalt doesn’t hurt his paws anymore. Four stars because they do slide around a little bit on his back paws but not enough to prevent him from walking normally
