I use this insulated bowl outside for my feral cats. If you keep the bowl where it could get some sun it takes the water longer to freeze. I believe the stainless

I use this insulated bowl outside for my feral cats. If you keep the bowl where it could get some sun it takes the water longer to freeze. I believe the stainless steel attracts the sun. Also easier to get the frozen water out just don't fill the bowl to the top.

I have 4 rescue pitties which means I have a lot of water and food bowls out. They each have their own water bowl available all day long and they are fed twice a day. These stainless steel bowls by Frisco are the BEST! They last! The bottom has a non-skid surface so the bowl will not move all around and get food everywhere. They are also the perfect size. They come in different sizes and obviously, my pit bulls are on the larger size, so I order the large ones. They are dishwasher safe even though I prefer to hand wash them using Dawn. They have not scratched up like others I have purchased through the years. I highly recommend these bowls by Frisco. They are also very nicely priced.

Neither my cat nor the outside cats will eat out of these bowls. Not sure why. Just wish I hadn't opened all of them so I could send some back.

Cat won't even use it!

Our cat won't even go neat this bowl. He skirts around it, craning his neck, and has only briefly tried to touch it with his paw before leaving the room. This is

Our cat won't even go neat this bowl. He skirts around it, craning his neck, and has only briefly tried to touch it with his paw before leaving the room. This is over 3 days now that the bowl has been in use. The bowl has a concave mirror-polish and I suspect that the cat sees movement (its distorted reflection and the reflection of things around, compounded if the water is moving at all). I don't recommend the bowl unless you already have one similar that your cat is comfortable with.
