How well is the seal on this canister? I am looking for storage that seals reliably.

The lid on this product has a very tight seal. There is a small opening on the silicone seal is intentionally added so that a minimal amount of air can get by when taking the lid off – this is because without that hole the seal on the lid would create too much suction and it would be very hard to remove the lid.

How much does this hold in pounds? it’s 8 cups but does it hold 5lb, 10lb etc.

Our cat is notorious for jumping on the counter and getting into stuff, but she didn't get into this! We've had it for a while and I really like it. It looks nice, so it can sit on the counter even when we have guests, and it seals nicely. Our cat does NOT knock stuff off the counter, so I can't vouch for if it's spill proof, but she's left it alone even though she's torn open other treat bags.

It’s quite large, so I have a few different treats in bags within the container. The rubber gasket on the lid makes it pretty airtight and the inside will be super easy to clean when needed.

I was thinking it was more of a ceramic but it came and is a little more like a tough plastic. It seems pretty air tight as well which is good. We plan to use this for our milkbone style treats.
