From your description, it sounds as if this fits only a collar leash and not a harness leash - correct?

This coat has a covered leash hole at the neck that will allow you to clip your leash onto a harness or collar.

This parka is easy to put on with slip-through legs design, hook-and-loop straps down the belly, and snap buttons at the collar so it stays on even while you’re out exploring.

Similar to earlier question: we only use a harness for walking the dog (no collar). Is the opening to attach a leash far enough back for a harness where the attach point is over the shoulder?

The opening for a leash or harness can be found just below the neck/hood, on the back of this parka. Depending on the attach point on the harness, it may or may not be compatible with this product.

Bought this parka for my medium (28 lbs) mixed rescue who has short legs but a long torso like a corgi. Originally got the XL based on my measurements but was way too big. Re-ordered a Large and it fit almost perfectly. I sewed on two elastic straps (3/8” knitted so it doesn’t narrow when stretched) in the rear to wrap around her hind legs for a more snug fitment. Now it fits perfectly. Also added two stick-on velcro closures to close the leash hole flap when using a standard collar/leash and not a top latched harness.

Awesome for cold weather!

We had a cold front where we live, and we wanted to get a coat that would help our puppy not be so cold when he goes to the bathroom outside. We chose this coat

We had a cold front where we live, and we wanted to get a coat that would help our puppy not be so cold when he goes to the bathroom outside. We chose this coat along with another coat in case he did not like it, but he ended up actually really liking this coat. We ended up keeping both coats actually because he liked both of them, but this coat in particular I really liked because of the removeable hood. Sometimes our pup is a bit more chewy because he is still teething, and the removeable hood helps during those chewy bouts. By removing the hood, he cannot attempt to bite it and chew it when he turns his head. Plus, the interior of this coat is also not sherpa, so in case he decides to try and chew on the arm hole area (he loves to try and chew on sherpa of course), he does not have anything to chew. It still keeps him super warm though! The sizing charts were really helpful in choosing which size to get him too. I think we were able to get a good size for him as he even has some room underneath the coat for a shirt for a double layer. I would definitely recommend this coat!

Fits perfectly, and not too difficult to put on.

My dog weighs 11 pounds and her chest size is 16. I ordered a medium and it fits perfectly. She doesn't like to wear clothes, scarves, etc., so I need something that doesn't require a lot of fussing with, or she'll be trying to run away making the task even more difficult. with the Velcro closure it's pretty easy to get it closed, but it's sometimes crooked when all is said and done. But I'm not putting it on her for a fashion show, just to keep her warm and dry in cold snowy or rainy weather, so as long as it's secured and will stay on her I'm happy. This fits the bill and it still looks cute on her.
