Is the loop on top strong enough for a leash?

The loop is not intended to be a used for a leash. It is part of the costume so it will tear off with enough pulling.

I don't know why people are saying it runs small. Got a medium and it fit fine. Neck 13 inches and chest 18. Such an adorable outfit. Stinking cute.

Ok, I am aware by the look on his face, he isn't entirely amused. But Finnegan is so stinking CUTE!! The construction of this costume is quality. I am glad I read the reviews and sized up. This is an XXL, and for reference my boy is a beagle/bulldog mix (long , low and chonky)chunky. Neck 17", chest 25", length 21". The XXL is still a slight bit snuggy, but the velcro closure allows for some forgiveness. The armholes are a bit tight, not tight enough to cut into his armpits, but also not comfortable enough to wear for extended time, but he just wears for appearances at therapy dog visits. This costume will certainly make the residents smile.

Adorable silver and green ornament costume. The velcro closure on the chest makes it easy to secure after dressing your pet. The material is nice and puffy so it does not lay flat, but rather gives the sphere appearance of an actual ornament. And the "hook" on the back is a great added detail. My dog will be wearing this for a holiday party at our home and I have no doubt it will be a hit!

This is a really cute costume that I got for my dog. It's durable, pretty, and insulated for warmth. It did run a little small. I got the XL for my medium sized dog (she's 45 lbs), and it JUST fits. I could swear when I first picked this product out, it said it had clips on the back so you could use it as a harness. But there are not any. Maybe I misread it. So it is just a costume for Christmas. Overall, it is cute and if you walk your dog with a collar, as opposed to a harness, will be a good conversation piece!
