On the picture it looks plastic. Is it all stainless steel?

This bowl features a silicone insert, to help with slow feedings and a stainless steel bowl underneath. The stainless-steel bowl can hold up to 3.5 cups on its own and is dishwasher safe, while the silicone insert holds up to 2.5 cups and can be washed by hand.

Silicon insert is stated removable . Doesthat leave the stainless steel part with same shape to be put in dishwasher and can bowl be used without silicon insert?

The silicon insert is removable and has a flat stainless steel surface underneath. While the bowl may be used without the silicone insert, it would not function as a slow feeder but as a standard food bowl.

Is the silicone BPA free, food grade?

Slows little Gobblers!

Great for slowing down a gobbler!

Slow Feeder Silicone bowl

It is okay. I like that you can remove the insert to wash it after he eats but I wish there were some sorry of rubber bottom so he doesn’t have to chase the bowl

Silicone does not hold up

While I like that this is silicone, it does not hold up well. Somehow it tore and so it's become more flimsy with time. I do feel better about not using a plastic

While I like that this is silicone, it does not hold up well. Somehow it tore and so it's become more flimsy with time. I do feel better about not using a plastic slow feeder bowl as it probably would leak microplastics but I think I'll have to keep looking for a better fit.
