Great raincoat
Bought each of our dogs this raincoat. The rain coat is nice, and I was surprised because each time in the past when I bought raincoats, the sizes were never right, always a little smaller than they should have been. This item is plenty big and I like the way the collar covers the whole chest area. The hood is a little big, but It can be rolled back and the ears are stilled covered; I like that.
IZZY'S NEW RAINCOAT
Izzy's new raincoat fits him very well. He's an 11 pound Coton and the length is perfect. It would be better if his legs had a bit more coverage but I like the ease with which I can dress him. It keeps his long hair pretty dry even in big storms. (He won't wear the hood but otherwise he's ok with it!) I also liked the price!
Rainy days!
Frisco products are great and this raincoat is useful for those super rainy days when no one wants to go outside. It's a little long on my mini-schnauzer so I may cut it - but it works great and he even wears the hood!
Not for sausage dogs
I have a 40lb mini aussie and two 13lb chiweenies. I had originally purchased this raincoat for my aussie and going by the size chart, I ordered the XL which fit perfectly. I adopted my two chiweenies later and decided to get this raincoat since it fit their older brother (who is not a sausage dog but still a bit of a long boy) and I wanted them to match and look cute! I went by the size chart and ordered the M. Well it does NOT fit them at all, it looks comically large. They fall into the weight range and well over the neck and back length measurement for the medium - except the chest. My boys have a chest measurement of 18 inches, which is larger than a small (listed as 16) but smaller than a medium (listed as 20 inches). I hope this helps other people making a purchasing decision, now I have two raincoats laying around that dont fit!
Practical for the rain
We have an American bulldog/Lab mix (65 lbs.). The hood is a little goofy and gets in the way, but the jacket is practical. We went out in a steady rain, and except for the neck, head and legs, he stayed dry. I appreciate the reflective stripe. It's easy to put on and, for the most part, stays put. I thought I'd have to add elastic bands to go around the back legs, but I think he can manage without the extra strapping. I'm satisfied bec it fits--he's got that big head and big chest, but this worked out fine.
Great full coverage rain coat for larger dogs!
I absolutely love this raincoat for Sequoia! I purchased an XXL size because I wanted to make sure it would cover all the way to her tail, plus the fact that she is a 77 lb. Wooley Siberian Husky and extremely fluffy. It fits her so well! The material is of great quality and sewn well. Definitely looks like it will hold up well to the New England weather. She doesn't mind wearing it at all. The hood doesn't really stay on, but that's okay because my main concern is keeping her back dry, in addition- its very stylish resting on her neck area.

I was very excited to get these for my dogs However, they aren’t good for my dogs. The hood covers their eyes and the dogs won’t walk. I fold the hood in half and it flies back in the wind like a parachute. If your dog is off lease these jackets slide all around. Because I have to size for bigger dogs it’s difficult to get something that fits both the neck & chest. Disappointed
my dog trips over it
So this is a really great rain jacket I would highly recommend this to anybody, but my dog will trip over it, so I think I need the next size down. I got her xxlarge. So I think she needs a xlarge instead, even the hat is too big it goes over her whole eyes and face, where it makes her can’t see
Useful item
Material seems very sturdy, but size was larger than I expected even though I had used the size chart. Guess I would rather have it larger than it being too small.
Will keep my little man dry
First of all, thank you Chewy for sending the correct size. The extra small is still a little big for Porter. I will fold it up in the back. Looks like a very nice coat. It has the reflective strip for nighttime. I will take the small to the animal rescue this week.
