• Paw Width: While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.

The fabric is fully reflective as well as the adjustable strap.

There is an adjustable hook and loop strap and a toggle at the top of the boot opening so that you can properly adjust to fit your pet and keep it on their paws. If your dog has long fur, you may need to tighten the strap more than you think. At first, dogs will intentionally try to kick the boots off since they aren�t used to it, but eventually they get used to having them on their paws. To prevent boots from coming off it is imperative to choose the correct size by measuring your dog's paws according to the instructions in the size chart.

When putting the boot on the first time, check that there is not much extra room left on the sides - it should fit snuggly. Unlike apparel we recommend buying the smaller size if in between sizes.

After tightening the toggle at the top opening, you can slip the tail of the bungee into the tab to avoid your dog being able to chew or trip on the bungee.

Yes, the fabric will help keep water out, however if your dog walks through a stream or source of water where the whole boot is submerged, water can still get in through the top opening.

When putting the boot on fully extend the top opening then slide the paw all the way until it touches the bottom toe of the boot. Then tightly secure the strap and close the toggle. Lastly slip the excess tail of the bungee in the elastic tab.

These boots are slip on and can be used for dogs with dewclaws; however, it is imperative that you hold down the dewclaw with your finger when putting them on to prevent snagging the dewclaw.
